Create a coaching course

Add an interactive element to your formal training programs by creating a coaching course. This helps you assess whether participants can practically apply what they learned by submitting recorded responses for review.

Key features

  • Add an interactive assessment to a learning curriculum
  • Set up a numerical grading scale or a pass and fail system
  • Enable automated feedback to measure the rate of speech and filler words
  • Allow participants to share practice takes with peers

You need this to succeed

  • Plan: Bigtincan Basic Readiness, Bigtincan Elite, Bigtincan Essential, Bigtincan Readiness, or Bigtincan Standard Plus
  • Roles and privileges: Learning Author, Learning Administrator, or Company Administrator

Do this step by step

  1. Click the Learning tab and select Create Course from the dropdown.
  2. From the Course type drop-down menu, select Coaching Course.
  3. In the Create section, select Coaching Course.
  4. Click Continue.
  5. Type a name for your course in the Title field and add Instructions for participants on the General tab.
  6. To add content, click the upload icon and choose a file from your device, or click Select Brainshark content to select assets from your Brainshark instance.
  7. To choose reviewers, click Select and select the users or groups you wish to assign as reviewers. Click Save. Alternatively, select the option to assign a participant’s manager or designated Coach.
  8. Click the Feedback and grading tab to select your grading system and modify your feedback categories.

Note: If a coaching or roleplay activity uses No grading (None), it does not generate a score. If the course requires a passing score, update the setup before publishing by either changing the grading to Rating or Pass/Fail, or removing the score requirement in the completion criteria.

  9. Click the Automated feedback tab to enable the feature and configure your metrics, if desired.
  10. Click the More tab to establish your take limits, email notifications, leaderboards, and practice options.
  11. Click Save and return to course.
