Do this step by step
Enable self-registration:
- Click your profile and select Administration.
- In the left menu, click Advanced Options, then Self registration, and select Properties.
- In the Enabled self registration section, check the Allows users to automatically register themselves for Brainshark box.
- In the Show self-registration link on login page section, check the Allows users to see the self registration link on the login page box to provide a registration link on your company's login page.
- You can use domain restrictions to allow users to register only from certain domains or to exclude certain domains from registration. From the Restriction type dropdown, select Only allow users from these domains, or Block users from these domains. Then, enter fully hosted domain names in the Domain restrictions box.
- Click Save in the top right to store your changes.
Set a default template and notifications:
The default template lets you choose a user profile as the default and customize the template users see.
- Click your profile and select Administration.
- In the left menu, click Advanced Options, then Self registration, and select Properties.
- Scroll to the Self registration templates section.
- If the user whose profile you'd like to set as default isn't in the list, click the plus icon to search for and select them.
- Find which user profile you want to set as the default, and click the three dot menu under the Actions column and select Set user profile as default.
- Check the box for Send 'Welcome' email to new users to automatically send login credentials and a site link to new users.
- Check the box for Send registration notification to receive an email each time a new user registers.
- Click Save.
Customize the registration form:
- Navigate to Administration.
- Click Advanced Options in the left menu, then Self registration, and select Form options.
- Select the self registration profile you want to customize from the dropdown list.
- To upload an image to appear centered above your form, click Choose file to upload a custom logo. Only images up to 280 pixels wide by 80 pixels high, in GIF, JPG, or PNG format, are supported.
- Enter your desired text in the Header Text field. Use this for instructions or appropriate messaging related to your form.
- In the Self registration categories section, check the boxes for the categories you want to include: Basic information, Contact information, or Other information. You can change the label if needed by editing it in the text field.
- Under Self registration form options, configure your fields:
- Check the box in the Enable column to include a specific field on the form.
- Check the box in the Require column to make a field mandatory for the user.
- Check the box in the Has list? to provide users with a predefined list of values to select from for this field, rather than a free-text input. Click the edit icon in the List column to add or remove values from that list.
- To collect specific data not covered by standard fields, enter a name in the Custom Label box to create a custom field.
- Enter your Terms and conditions in the text box to display them at the bottom of your registration form.
- Click Save.
Tip: Click Preview to view your customized self-registration form.
