The quick way
- Go to Administration > Users > Manage Users.
- Click Request Bulk Update and select Emails/Usernames.
- Click Download template, complete the .csv, then click Upload .csv.
Do this step by step
- Go to the Administration menu.
- Select Users from the left side Settings menu.
- Select Manage Users from the drop-down menu.
- Click the Request Bulk Update button.
- Select Emails/Usernames from the drop-down menu.
- Click the Download template button to download the .csv file.
- Complete the required fields by entering the current usernames of the users you want to update in the CurrentUsername field.
- To update only a username or an email address, complete the CurrentUsername field and then complete the NewUsername or NewEmailAddress field, respectively.
- To update the user's username, enter the new username in the NewUsername field.
- To update the user's email address, enter the new email address in the NewEmailAddress field.
- When you finish entering the information, upload the completed .csv by clicking the Upload .csv button.
- If you filled out the .csv correctly, the users are updated and a confirmation message appears.
- If the file contains errors, the following error message appears after you upload the .csv file.
- Click the Download error file button to download an error report that outlines the errors in the file. Fix the errors according to the report and re-upload.
Note: The form processes inactive users and each username may only be used once.
