Move content from one folder to another

Move your presentations, courses, and curriculums between folders to keep your content organized and accessible — without redistributing links or re-enrolling students.

You need this to succeed

  • Plan: Bigtincan Authoring, Bigtincan Basic Learning, Bigtincan Basic Readiness, Bigtincan Elite, Bigtincan Essential, Bigtincan Readiness, Bigtincan Standard, or Bigtincan Standard Plus
  • Roles and Privileges: Content Author, Company Administrator, Learning Administrator, or Folder Administrator
  • Prerequisite: You must have authoring permissions in the destination folder

Do this step by step

To move content as an administrator:

  1. Click your profile in the top right and select Administration.
  2. Click Content in the left side navigation menu, then select Manage content.
  3. Select the checkboxes next to the items you want to move.
  4. Click the pencil icon above the list.
  5. In the Move drop-down menu, select the destination folder.
  6. Click Apply.

To move a presentation from the Content tab:

  1. Go to the Content tab, select Content Portal or Favorites, and click the presentation's card.
  2. To search for the content you want to move, go to the Content tab, select Content Portal or Favorites, then hover over the thumbnail image.
  3. Click the three dot menu, then select Folder and click Move.
  4. Select the destination folder from the drop-down menu.
  5. Click Apply.

    Note: Moving content removes it from the original folder and places it in the new folder. It does not make a copy.


To move courses and curriculums in Brainshark Learning:

  1. Click the Learning tab and select My Courses & Curriculums from the dropdown menu.
  2. Select the checkboxes next to the items you want to move.
  3. Click the pencil icon above the list.
  4. Select the destination folder from the Change Folder drop-down menu.
  5. Click Apply.
