Scorecard actions allow you to proactively schedule and automate workflow steps based on predefined conditions. By establishing specific conditional logic using metrics from a panel, you can trigger automated email notifications to relevant stakeholders. This ensures that critical tasks are never overlooked and empowers managers to stay ahead of potential bottlenecks.

Key features
- Automate workflow steps based on panel metrics
- Send targeted email notifications to specific users, groups, or roles
- Set custom frequencies such as daily, weekly, monthly, or one-time alerts
You need this to succeed
- Plan: Bigtincan Basic Learning, Bigtincan Basic Readiness, Bigtincan Elite, Bigtincan Essential, Bigtincan Readiness, Bigtincan Standard, or Bigtincan Standard Plus
- Roles and Permissions: Any user with access to a Scorecards panel
Do this step by step
- Open Scorecards.
- Navigate to the specific panel where you want to create an action.
- Click the three dots in the top right corner of the panel.
- Click Create Action.
- In the Basic info section, provide an action name, description, frequency, and activation status.
- In the Criteria section, define your date range and conditional logic. Conditional logic lets you define the rules that automatically trigger a Scorecard action, like sending an email notification.
- Build rules using Boolean expressions based on the metrics available in your Scorecards panel, following a simple structure:
- Metric + Logical Operator + Value.
For example, Pipeline Created < 3,000,000. - Use the And or Or buttons to chain multiple conditions together for creating more precise rules.
For example, Pipeline Created < 3,000,000 And Close Rate < 50%. - The conditional logic always resolves to either True or False.
- Metric + Logical Operator + Value.
- If all conditions are met, the action fires. If any required condition fails, the action does not trigger.
- In the Output section, click New Output. Scorecard actions support four trigger types.
- Send a Message: delivers an automated email or notification directly to impacted users when they meet the defined criteria.
- Enrollment: automatically places qualifying users into a specific course, coaching plan, or curriculum without any manual steps.
- Add to Group: assigns qualifying users to a designated group, making it easy to target them for reporting, further automation, or personalized experiences.
- Waitlist Notification alerts users or admins when a waitlist spot opens up or when a user's waitlist status changes.
- In the Schedule section, define when your action runs and how often Brainshark checks whether users meet your criteria.
- Frequency: select how often Brainshark evaluates your criteria and triggers the output: Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Now (runs immediately, one time only).
- Active start date: enter the date you want the action to start running.
- Active end date: enter the date you want the action to stop running. After this date, the action no longer executes, even if it remains enabled.
- Time zone: select the time zone Brainshark uses to calculate when each scheduled run occurs, ensuring triggers fire at the correct local time.
- Click Create.
