Learning authors can create learning content from the "Create Course" option in the Learning dropdown or by clicking the "Create" button in the upper-right corner in My Learning.

1. Select "Create Course" or "Create Curriculum" from within the Learning dropdown

2. Click "Create" and select "Course" or "Curriculum," as appropriate

How to Create a Course
1. Click to select "Course type"
- The selection options include default content types such as Brainshark Course or Coaching Course, as well as any custom content types set up within Administration.

2. Enter Basic Details
- Enter the basic details and select the folder where the content should reside, as applicable. The details to be entered will vary based on the course type that you have selected.
- Important for Roleplay courses: If a Roleplay activity uses No grading, it does not generate a score.
- If the course requires a passing score, update one of these settings before publishing:
- Change Roleplay grading to Rating or Pass/Fail.
- Remove the score requirement in Completion criteria.

3. Click Continue

4. If you choose Brainshark Course, you will have the option to create new content or copy from existing presentations or courses
- Selecting new content will create the course upon clicking Continue. You can create content by clicking "Edit content" once you have been directed to the Course Overview tab.
5. Select Copy from existing content
- Shown below is the "Copy from existing content" workflow.

6. Choose the folder where the content should reside, and search for or select a presentation or course. Filtering options are available.

7. Once you have selected the content to copy, click Continue

8. From the Overview tab, you can click Edit content to access Modern Authoring

How to Create a Curriculum
1. Click on Create Curriculum

2. Type in the title of your curriculum and select the folder where the curriculum will be stored.

3. Add at least one course to the curriculum by clicking "Add". You can always add more later.

4. Click "Add" to trigger the course selection modal. You can search by title and/or filter by folder and status to help you find content. Once done, click "Apply".

5. You can add and reorder the courses as needed. Once you are satisfied with your selections, click "Continue"

6. You can see, edit, or manage courses associated with the curriculum on the "Courses" tab

How to Edit Courses
1. Click on Expand to see and manage courses

2. Set prerequisites and make courses optional, if desired.
- You can set prerequisites for a course by clicking the dropdown menu and selecting each prerequisite individually.
- Courses are required by default. At least one course within a curriculum must be marked as required. Deselect the checkbox to mark courses as optional.
- You can also reorder courses within the curriculum by dragging the dots on the left side of the thumbnail.

3. Click on New Product Update

4. You can choose to "Hide title until prerequisites are met" by checking the selection box.

5. Click the selection box to mark the course as an exam, if desired.

6. You can add and edit module titles. The first module title is required and is set to "Courses" by default. Additional module titles are optional.
- Each module title must contain at least one course in order to be saved. Empty modules will be discarded upon save.

7. To edit the default module title, click the ellipsis and select Edit module title. If you add more, you can move and remove titles, but you may not delete the default module title.

8. Type in the module title and click "Apply"

9. To add additional module titles, click "Add" and select "Modules"
- Module titles allow you to break up your curriculums into categories to be displayed to students.

10. Add the desired number of modules and click "Apply".
- You can edit the module titles individually, as well as reorder them on the Courses tab.

11. Click on Save

How to Edit Curriculum Modules
1. Position the module titles as desired. You can see the number of courses within each module in parentheses next to the module title. Once you are done making changes, click "Save".

2. You can now click "View" to preview the curriculum.
