Overview
This document explains how to configure MobileIron Cloud’s bigtincan v5 specific features. It does not cover how to use bigtincan hub application- for this information refer to the online help documentation located in the bigtincan hub cloud.
MobileIron Cloud
MobileIron’s MobileIron Cloud has implemented AppConfig, Apple’s open framework for application configuration (http://www appconfig.org)
Bigtincan hub fully supports Apple’s AppConfig capabilities and through MobileIron Cloud’s support of this standard bigtincan hub can easily be configured to support your organization's requirements.
Configuration and Deployment
Step 1: Log in to MobileIron Cloud
Step 2: Add bigtincan hub app
- Note: If you have not added bigtincan hub to your apps, use either the App Store URL (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/bigtincan-hub/id1057042059)
- Once added, click on bigtincan hub
- Click on App Configurations tab, then click on
next to iOS Managed App Configuration
- Name this configuration and adjust below options according to your company’s needs.
*Note: To make sure your changes take effect immediately in the Mobile Iron system, go to Devices > Select your device > Actions > Force Check-In.
Has Server Settings enables an ability for the user to choose the Options (Cloud, Corporate Sign In, SSO)
Authentication Options gives a user an ability to choose the sign in options (Cloud, Corporate Sign In, SSO).
Application Regionlets you predefine the bigtincan hub cloud geographic data and user authentication zone (top right corner of the login screen).
API Server Endpointlets you add a company identifier (e.g.- “mycompanyname”)

Step 3: Deployment
Once MobileIron Cloud is installed on the device navigate to your application, download and verify your settings.
