Key features

  • Replace slide elements like images, audio, or attachments individually
  • Keep your existing audio recordings while updating slide images
  • Save time by repurposing finalized narration from other presentations
  • Maintain formatting consistency across different slide decks

You need this to succeed

  • Plan: Bigtincan Authoring, Bigtincan Elite, Bigtincan Essential, Bigtincan Standard, Bigtincan Standard Plus, Bigtincan Readiness, Bigtincan Basic Readiness, or Bigtincan Basic Learning
  • Role and Privileges: Content Author, Folder Administrator, or Company Administrator with authoring access to the folder where the content lives
  • Prerequisites: The source presentation must have the Allow authors to copy presentation setting enabled.

Do this step by step

  1. Click the Content tab at the top of the page.
  2. Select My Content from the dropdown.
  3. Locate the presentation you want to modify (the destination presentation).
  4. Click the three dot menu on the presentation tile and select Edit to open a presentation in edit mode.
  5. Select the Tools tab in the top-left menu.
  6. Click Merge Slide Content.
  7. Under the Source section, click the dropdown menu to locate and select the presentation you want to copy from.

Note: If you can’t locate the source presentation, make sure its author or an administrator has enabled the Allow authors to copy presentation checkbox under the Access settings.

  8. Select the slide you want to pull content from in the source presentation on the left side.
  9. Select the destination slide in the current presentation on the right side.
  10. Under the Slide Content section, check the box next to Narration, Content, or Attachment depending on what you want to replace.

Note: If the source and destination slides have different formats (for example, merging a PDF slide with a PowerPoint slide), the system will only allow you to replace the Narration. If both slides share the same format, you can replace both the Content and the Narration.

  11. Click Replace to apply the selected elements to your current slide.
  12. Click Save in the bottom right corner of the page to apply your changes.

Note: Merging slide content is permanent. We highly recommend making a copy of your original presentation before performing any modifications.
