Do this step by step

Open the presentation editor

1. To add question slides to your existing presentations, click Content in the top menu and select My Content.
2. Locate the presentation you'd like to edit.
3. Click the three dot button on the presentation and select Edit.

Note: Authoring AI can’t read video or HTML5 content directly. To include a video in question generation, transcribe it using the Generate Captions and Notes option in the Tools menu. Once the captions and notes are ready, Authoring AI can use them to create questions.

Generate questions from an entire presentation

1. Open your presentation in edit mode and navigate to the Slides tab.
2. Select Questions, then click Generate to open the Generate Questions modal.
3. Configure your question preferences:
   1. Question count: Choose between 1 and 4 questions.
   2. Question type: Select from Multiple choice (choose one only), Multiple choice (choose one or more), True/False, or Fill in the blank.
   3. Language: Choose from the languages enabled for your organization.
   4. Focus (optional): Enter custom instructions to guide Genie AI (for example, "Focus on technical specifications" or "Emphasize compliance requirements").
4. Click Generate. The new question slides land directly inside your presentation.
5. Review the generated slides and make any necessary edits or deletions.

Generate a question from a single slide

1. Open your presentation in edit mode and locate the specific slide on which you want to generate a question slide.
2. Click the three dot button on the slide thumbnail.
3. Select Generate Question from this slide.
4. Configure your question type, language, and optional focus guidance in the modal.
5. Click Generate. The question slide is added directly after the selected slide.
