Permission denied: Cannot publish to requested channel

If you encounter the following error, (403) Save Error: Permission denied: Cannot publish to requested channel, the user has only view permissions to the channel.

To grant Publish permissions to a user/group, an administrator needs to:

• Go to Platform Configuration
• Under the System section go to Structure
• Navigate to the channel you wish to provide Publisher access to
• Click on the pencil icon for the group
• Set permissions to View & Publish

Please note:

• View & Edit only allows the user to edit existing stories.
• View & Publish allows them to create new stories or archive existing stories in the channel.
