Timed courses require you to complete the assigned material within a set timeframe. When you launch a timed course, a countdown timer displays so you can track your remaining time. Once the time limit is reached, Showpad automatically locks you out of the course.

Do this step by step

1. Click the Learning tab.
2. Select the Course Catalog from the dropdown.
3. Click the course tile to open the course details page.
4. You will see a "timed" label and icon right next to the duration metadata, this signals that it is a hard limit, not just an estimate.
5. Click Start course.
6. Review the confirmation screen explaining the time limit and what happens when time runs out.
7. Click Start course to begin the countdown and launch the player. The clock does not start until you confirm and launch the player.
8. Keep an eye on the countdown timer in the playbar as you view the course. When 10% of the time remains, the timer changes color and displays an alert. The alert does not pause your presentation.
9. Complete the course before the clock hits zero.
10. When the time runs out, the player immediately locks you out and displays a "Time limit reached" screen. You cannot reopen the course. If all completion criteria are met before the time runs out, it is still counted as completed.
