Automating the Bulk User Upload process lets a Company Administrator keep Brainshark user accounts in sync without uploading a spreadsheet by hand. You deliver a file to the Brainshark FTP server once a day, and Brainshark processes the users for you.

The quick way

1. Complete the Bulk User Upload spreadsheet in the standard bulk user upload format.
2. Submit a request to support@Bigtincan.com with the required information.
3. Wait for the ticket to be escalated to the Tier II Technical Support Engineers, who complete the setup.

Do this step by step

Prepare the Bulk User Upload spreadsheet

1. Complete the Bulk User Upload spreadsheet in the standard bulk user upload format.
2. For guidance on the format, see Bulk upload users with a spreadsheet.

Note: Unless you specify otherwise, the password field is ignored when a user is updated.

Submit the automation request

1. Submit a request to Support@Bigtincan.com.
2. Grant permission to Brainshark to create a generic Company Administrator account for upload purposes.
3. Have a Company Administrator grant Support permission to enter, or impersonate, the account for that ticket.
4. Specify which email address you want to receive the logs from the processing of the file. Only a single email address is supported for the notification.
5. Specify whether you want the group memberships replaced with those in the file, or appended to the existing groups.
6. Attach the completed Bulk User Upload spreadsheet.

Deliver the file to the FTP server

1. Deliver the file to the Brainshark FTP server, using the details provided by the Technical Support Engineers.
2. Have the file delivered daily so user data stays current.
