Welcome to the New Genie Assistant Experience

We're excited to introduce a modernized Genie Assistant designed to make your work faster, clearer, and more intuitive. Over the past few months, we've thoughtfully redesigned the interface based on your feedback and our commitment to delivering the best possible AI assistant experience.

What's Different?

You'll notice a cleaner, more streamlined interface the moment you open Genie. We've made some key improvements that we believe will enhance how you interact with your AI assistant every day.

Everything You Need, Right Where You Need It

We've introduced a plus (+) button at the bottom of your chat area that serves as your central hub for actions. Instead of hunting for buttons scattered across the screen, you'll find everything in one place:

Deep Research agent (for in-depth analysis)
File uploads for images and PDFs
Context management to add pages or documents back to your conversation

Previously, these options were spread across different parts of the interface. Now they're consolidated where you're already working—in the chat area itself.

Looking ahead: The plus button is designed to grow with you. As we introduce new capabilities to Genie Assistant, you'll find them here in this central menu. This means you'll always know where to look for new features as they become available.

See Your Context at a Glance

As you navigate through pages and files in the application, Genie automatically adds them to your conversation context. You'll see each item displayed as a visual chip directly above your input field. This makes it immediately clear what Genie is referencing when providing answers.

Previously, context was shown as a dropdown selector. Now, the visual chip design uses a more familiar convention that's easier to understand at a glance. Want to remove something from context? Just click the X on the chip. Need to add it back later? Simply open the plus menu and select the page or document you want to add back to your conversation.

Knowledge Scopes That Make Sense

Choosing the right knowledge scope is important for getting accurate answers. We've completely reimagined how you select them. You'll now see your current knowledge scope displayed as a chip in the chat input area. Click the chip to open the full knowledge scope selector.

Instead of a simple dropdown showing only titles, you'll now see a full panel that includes:

Descriptions that explain what each knowledge scope does
Search functionality to quickly find the scope you need
Sort options to organize scopes in a way that works for you

This means you can make informed choices about which knowledge scope will give you the best results, without guessing based on a name alone.

Why These Changes Matter

Every decision we made was guided by a simple principle: make Genie easier to understand and use, without sacrificing power or flexibility.

The consolidated design means you spend less time figuring out where features are and more time actually using them. The visual context chips eliminate confusion about what Genie is referencing. The enhanced knowledge scope selector helps you choose confidently. And the integrated controls create a more cohesive experience that feels natural rather than fragmented.

Click the plus (+) button to see all your options in one place
Navigate to a file or page and notice how the context chip automatically appears above your input field
Click the knowledge scope chip in the chat input area to browse the full selector and discover scopes you might not have known about
Use voice input and observe how it integrates smoothly into your workflow
