Brainshark IP Address Update: June 2026

Brainshark is migrating certain workloads from our existing data center to Amazon Web Services (AWS). This improves the reliability, scalability, and performance of the Brainshark platform and centralizes infrastructure across all Showpad products.

Brainshark remains fully SOC2 Type II and ISO27001 compliant after this change. AWS also maintains its own SOC2, ISO, and FedRAMP certifications.

Action required: Update your allowlist by June 27, 2026

Who needs to act: Only organizations that use IP allowlisting for Brainshark.

  • If your organization does not use IP allowlisting, no action is required.
  • End users do not need to take any action.

What you need to do

  1. Add both IP addresses listed below before June 27, 2026.
  2. Do not remove any existing Brainshark IP addresses yet. We'll send a follow-up notification once the migration is complete.

If the new IP addresses are not added in time, users in your organization may be unable to access Brainshark or use related SFTP and reporting workflows.

New IP addresses to allow

IP addressTraffic directionUse this for
16.147.132.85Outbound from your network to BrainsharkAllow outbound traffic from your network to Brainshark, including web traffic on ports 80/443 and SFTP on port 22. Examples: browsing Brainshark content or uploading files to our SFTP server.
54.68.21.139Inbound from Brainshark to your networkAllow inbound traffic from Brainshark to your environment. Example: Brainshark pushing reports to your SFTP server.

How to tell if you have an allowlist

Your IT team may have added Brainshark IPs to an allowlist if your organization uploads files to our SFTP server, has network security restrictions that affect browsing Brainshark content, or pushes reports from Brainshark to your own SFTP server.
If you're unsure, share this article with your IT team and ask them to confirm.

What's changing

  • Infrastructure: Brainshark is moving the workloads that host web content, process PowerPoint files, handle content downloads, and manage other supporting tasks to AWS.
  • Data: Customer data that supports Brainshark presentations will migrate to AWS, except for video files and some supporting data, which will remain on Azure for now.
  • Data location: Your data stays in the United States, hosted in the AWS US West 2 (Oregon) region.

What's not changing

  • End users: No action is needed from end users. The migration is seamless from a user perspective.
  • Security: All data remains encrypted and secure, to Showpad's high security standards.
  • Compliance: Brainshark remains SOC2 Type II and ISO27001 compliant.
  • Sub-processors: This migration does not add any new Brainshark sub-processors. AWS is already listed as a Brainshark sub-processor.

What to expect during the migration

We'll follow our standard maintenance notification process to let you know in advance about the planned maintenance window for the final cutover to AWS. We do not expect downtime, data loss, or disruption outside the planned maintenance window.

Looking ahead

After this migration is complete, we'll also move workloads and data currently running on Azure to AWS. This will include additional supporting services for Brainshark. We'll send advance notice before that work begins.
