Social IQ Algorithm

The Social IQ score gives an indication of a particular user's interaction in the Hub. This score is calculated based on the weights assigned to each user action. In the Social IQ settings page, administrators must assign weights to various user actions and specify the score ranges for the badges. Navigate to Platform Configuration > Gamification > Social IQ Algorithm 

Assigning Weights for Calculating User Scores 

The table below describes the various actions of the user that is taken into consideration for calculating the user score. Use the slider available for each action to assign weights.

These significant actions that a user performs on other users' content include:

  • Share
  • Subscribe
  • Rate
  • Add to favorite
  • Promote

Actions taken by the signed-in user on other users of the system

These actions that a user performs on others' content include:

  • User praise
  • Subscribe
  • Unsubscribe
Actions taken by other users of the system on the signed-in user

These actions that other users perform on the signed-in user's content include:

  • User praise
  • Subscribe
  • Unsubscribe
Publishing activity undertaken by the signed-in user

These actions related to publishing content include:

  • Edit
  • Copy 
  • Move
  • Add
Content IQ score of any content published by a signed-in user as a contribution to their Social IQ (30%-60%) This option means that the Content IQ score of the content published by the user should be considered for calculating the Social IQ score. A minimum of 30% and a maximum of 60% of the Content IQ score can be considered.
