Navigate from Platform Configuration > Security > Password Rules.
The Password option allows administrators to set the complexity of passwords for Hub users. The more complex a password is, the more secure it is.
Option | Description |
---|---|
Force Users to Change Password After this Many Days | When enabled, forces users to change their password after the specified number of days. Select the checkbox and specify the number of days. |
Remember Used Password for this Many Days | Allows users' password to be remembered for the specified number of days. Select the checkbox and specify the number of days. Here is an example. If admin elects for the community to change their password every X days, this option says a user can’t use any previous passwords that are remembered for X days. To be clearer:
This means users have to provide a different password from their first one when I renew at 60 days, and again at 120, and again 180 days. But at 240 days, a user might employ the original password since the system forgot it at the 181 day mark. |
