User Intent Categories
When users chat with In-app Genie Assistant, messages from the user to Genie are analyzed and classified by “user intent categories”.
- User Intent Categories represent the underlying goal behind a user's message when chatting with Genie In-App Assistant.
- Identifying, categorizing, and responding to specific user intents is key to providing a more natural, satisfying and useful GenieAI experience.
- Genie Assistant can discern “user intent categories”, ranging from simple information requests to more complex transactional or conversational goals.
Over time, Genie will adopt more user intent categories, but for now, please see below for the initial list of categories.
User Intent Categories:
User Intent Category | Description |
Asking A Question | User is asking a question of Genie which should be answered from their content |
Searching | User is searching for files or other content - they asked to find something or search for something |
Performing An Action | User is asking Genie to perform an action - the user asked Genie to do something |
Providing Feedback | User is providing feedback to Genie |
Answering Question | User is answering a question |
Making Statement | User is providing a statement or information to Genie |
Summarize | User wants Genie to summarize content |
Generate Text | User wants Genie to generate text for them |
Write An Email | User wants to write an email with sources as attachments |
Create A Hubshare Email | User wants to create a Hubshare email with sources as attachments |
Create A Digital Sales Room | User wants to create a Hubshare Room, AKA a Digital Sales Room with sources as attachments |
Create A Story Or Page | User wants to create a Hub Story or Page with sources as attachments |
Create A Brainshark Presentation | User wants to create a Brainshark presentation |
Create A Quiz | User wants to create a multiple choice quiz with several questions and an answer |
Create A Roleplay Scenario | User wants to create a roleplay scenario for sales reps |

Creating a New Chat
Users can create a new chat by clicking on the “New Chat” button on the top right of Genie In-App Assistant sidebar or full screen views.
Genie automatically names new chats based on the topics in the chat.
Genie Chat History
Users can access previous chats with Genie via chat history. If you are having trouble finding Genie Assistant see here for the different locations.
Opening Chat History
Users can open and view chat history from the sidebar and full screen views by clicking the clock icon next to the new chat button.
Switching to Older Chats
Users can open any chat in their history to pick up and continue that conversation.
Managing Chats in History
Clicking on the three dots to the right of a chat name reveals options to Rename or Delete a chat.
