Occasionally, you will need to Update and Sync your application to align with any changes made by your company's imSMART Administrators in the Content Management System (CMS).
- A Sync enables you to download all of the files provided by your company.
- When the files change in the future, the imSMART app will help you keep everything synced.
To perform the sync, follow the steps shown below:
- Generally speaking, you will need to sync when Administrators add, modify, or remove Asset content.
- These syncs ensure that you will have access to the most current Segments, Folders, and Asset files, even if your computer is not connected to the Internet.
Check for Updates
To determine if an Update is necessary, tap on the Updates tab at the bottom of your screen, then tap on Content Sync.
- If Updates are available, the screen will prompt you "Are you sure you want to update now?".
- Tap on the blue Yes button.
Sync your Files
Once you click on the Yes button (shown in the image above), the application will begin syncing files, as shown in the image below.
- The application will run through a series of updates.
- This process can take anywhere from a few minutes to an hour, depending on the speed of your Internet connection and the number of files that you have access to.

- When the sync is finished, tap Ok.
- The app will then direct you back to the Home screen, where you can now access your Segments and other Asset content.

In the future, you will visit the Updates tab periodically to update (and sync) the Asset content for your device.
