Media Manager Analytics - User & Asset Reports

Usage Reporting

Modus collects a variety of data based on end user activity and users can configure, download, and send these reports in several ways from Media Manager.

Under the Dashboard menu, click Analytics. From this page, users can set up reports to see data listed by the various items on the left side menu: Media (Assets), Users, Categories, Regions, User Roles, and Notifications.

The first selection users need to make is on the left side menu. Choose the information to be presented per user, per asset, per category, etc. Tap your choice to open the submenus and choose your main metric.

After that, choose a timeframe by clicking the pencil in the first box on the right side menu. This pulls up a modal where a user may choose a date range in three ways. ( a variety of ways. )

List view allows choosing time with checkboxes. First use the top carrot menu to choose the desired time measurement.

Users can keep the default selection to include all, or to select just one or more, click the first checkbox to unselect all and choose by reselecting the desired time frames. Then click OK to save.

Calendar view allows you to choose a start and end date by navigating to the desired dates. Click into the From field to choose the start date and the To field to choose the end date. Click Ok to save.

Timeframe view allows users to choose a predetermined time frame they want in the report.

This can be further configured by timefame. To do this, click the pencil button and then use the dropdown to choose Years, Quarters, Months or Weeks, then click “OK” to save.

From here, users can further filter results by the additional menu filters on the right side including Group, User Role, File Type, and individual user.

Once the filters are set, users can send or download reports based on these metrics. To subscribe someone to this report, hit the subscribe button in the upper right and fill in the blanks.

To narrow down to the top results use the slider below the graph and move it to the  left.

Under this slider there is also a 3 dot menu on the right side where users can download the data just added into a .csv or an image for a presentation.

If users want to further drill down on a specific asset or main metric, hover over the item on the graph and right click. This will open a menu where you can choose additional filters to further segment the data.

To download more detailed reports via .csv file, open the Dashboard menu on the upper left and choose Reports.

From here click “Add spreadsheet” in the upper right and this will pop up a modal to configure the report.

Name the report, choose the date range, choose the report type (this will appear in the first column and be the main metric of your data), and read the tool tips for choosing the other spreadsheet configuring options.

After saving the report will be on the list below labeled Spreadsheets. Users may sort by created date and it will move to the top.

From the right side menu, users can now choose to download, send or subscribe, copy, or delete this report. To edit it, click on the title.
