File Options
Depending on the type of content added, there are a variety of options available under the “Options” title for that individual file within the story. File options include:
- Copy
- Sync
- Link
Copy
Selecting this file option will create a copy of the material from Drive and add to the story. This ensures a snapshot of the content for which any updates will not be synced.
Sync
Selecting this option attaches content to the story that will automatically update when the content is updated in Drive. This ensures that the content always matches what is in the Drive. This is the default mode. The current fields that are being synced are modification date, tags, expiry date and the file itself.
Link
This populates when the content added is a “Weblink” or when attaching a Brainshark item or Zunos learning content to the story. A copy of this content is not added to the story. Instead, this link will open the content item so they can view and interact with it from Content Hub. All linked content is blocked from sharing at this time.
Publish
Publish the story as usual to show the content to their end users. End users that have access to the Story per their Content Hub permissions will be able to see the files and the links. The share status of all files in Content Hub (regardless of their source) are managed within Content Hub.
