Badges, Awards, and Gamification

Administrators may wish to implement a system of recognition and award acquisition to help motivate their employees complete specific learning pathways. Administrators will select the RLO (Rich Learning Object) of Achievement.

Badges

By locking/unlocking badges, administrators create an opportunity for their users to cultivate prowess and status. Earned Badges signify level of proficiency in a category or subject.

Awards

Administrators can also attach a Certificate, as an Award, if the badge does not satisfy the client's needs, so the user has both.

Gamification

If administrators choose to add points to certain achievements (see Create and Manage Achievements), the gamification process allows for the creation of a "Leaderboard" so their users measure accomplishments against one another, or even groups versus groups.
