Forums

Administrators have the ability to create forums, draft new forum topics, and administer forum tags. In order to do so, administrators  will navigate to the "Communicate" tab, represented by the speech bubble icon on the very left of their screen.

Forums 

  1. Under the "Communicate" tab, administrators will navigate to the "Forums" section. 
  2. This will present a log of all forums, each forum is listed similarly to the following: 

    Each forum is listed with:
    • Icon
    • Name
    • Description
    • Groups added to the forum
    • Forum's author
    • Number of topics
    • Active/inactive status.
  3. Click the forum for a chance to edit any of these details. 
  4. If administrators wish to create a New Forum, select the "New Forum" option in the top left of the window:
     
  5. This will prompt the following popup window. Simply fill in the desired information:

Important Toggles

Before publishing a new forum, administrators have the option to allow for later adjustments. The following options may be enabled if the administer enacts the appropriate toggle. 

Allow New Topics If enabled, a new topic may be added after the forum has been published.
Allow New Tags If enabled, new tags may be added at after the forum has been published.
Active Once enabled, the forum is active. 

 

 

Forum Topics

  1. Under the "Communicate" tab, administrators will navigate to the "Forum Topics" section. 
  2. This will present a log of all Forum Topics, each Forum Topic is listed similarly to the following:Each Forum Topic is listed with an
    • Icon
    • Name
    • Author
    • Which forum this topic exists
    • Tags, Number of comments
    • Number of likes
    • Active/Inactive status.
  3. Click the Forum Topic for a chance to edit any of these details. 
  4. If administrators wish to create a New Forum Topic, select the "New Forum Topic" option in the top left of the window: 
  5. This will prompt the following popup window. Simply fill in the desired information.: 

Important Toggles

Before publishing a new Forum Topic, administrators have the option to enable/disable the following options:

Close Posting If enabled, Users can no longer post to the topic.
Active If enabled, the forum is active.
Pinned If enabled, forum will be pinned in the top left. 

 

 

 

Forum Tags

  1. Under the "Communicate" tab, administrators will navigate to the "Forum Tags" section. 
  2. This will present a log of all Forums Tags, each forum is listed similarly to the following: Each Forum Tag is listed with the
    • Tag's Name
    • Description
    • Number of Forum Topics to which it is attached
    • Number of Subscribers to this particular Tag.
  3. Click the Tag for a chance to edit any of these details. 
  4. If administrators wish to create a New Forum Tag, select the "New Forum Tag" option in the top left of the window:
     
  5. This will prompt the following popup window. Simply fill in the desired information:
