Interest Areas are special types of groups that are intended towards catering to a specific group of users with a specific set of content. Interest areas are so called because they may contain content of importance or interest to certain users or groups.
Creating an Interest Area
Creating an interest area is similar to creating a new group. See Creating New Groups to learn how to create a new group. Selecting the Interest Area checkbox makes the group an interest area.
Assigning interest areas
After creating interest areas, you can assign them to groups. To assign an interest area to groups:
1. Navigate to Platform Configuration > Interest Areas.
2. Select the required group for assigning interest areas.
3. In the interest areas column, click Add Interest area and start typing the name of the interest area.
4. Click Add on the required interest area to assign it to the selected group.
