Tabs for iOS

Content within the Hub is organized in a hierarchical fashion funneling down until users reach the core files. By default the largest and first tier is called Tabs. Tabs are comprised of the second tier of the hierarchy called Channels. Channels contain appropriate stories--which are the third unit of the hierarchy. Note: Tabs, Channels, and Stories may have different names according to a users administrator settings. 

Tabs---> Channels---> Stories

Users access the Tabs tier by tapping the Stories icon on the main menu. All the tabs users have access to will appear on the very left hand side of the screen. 

Underneath the Title of the Tab, the number of channels and stories is listed. Note, in this screenshot stories are titled as "content." A user simply clicks the desired Tab and gains access to the the channels and stories contained. For the next steps in content organization go to the  Channels section. 

 

My Content

The first tab option in the tab menu is the user’s “My Content” tab. This tab will display a user’s channels and files. A user can add channels to their “My Content” tab by tapping the Add button next to the “My Personal Channels” title. 

From this menu, users can customize their new channel by adding an image, title, description and users.

Search within Tabs

Users have the ability to filter content in Tabs  with as few as 2 characters.  At the top of the Tabs menu, users will see a Search Bar Option. Users will begin typing a search term, with 2 or more characters in place, the menu will present all search results displaying the current search term. The search term will be highlighted for easy recognition. The more characters in place results a more specific result.
