How do I move content to a new folder?

You must be the author of the presentation, course, or curriculum you're looking to move, or be a Company Administrator to move content to other folders. In some instances, Learning Administrators and Folder Administrators may also be able to move content on behalf of the author.

To move a presentation from the Home/My Content:

  • Search for the content you'd like to move and hover over the thumbnail image
  • Hover over the Options button that appears (shown below), then select Move to folder

  • Find and click the folder you'd like to place this content into - you should then be brought to the Presentation Properties tab of your presentation where you can confirm the content's new location
  • Click Save/Apply to submit your changes

To move courses/curriculums in Brainshark Learning:

  • Select your Learning tab, then select Authoring > My Courses & Curriculums from the dropdown menu
  • Check off any course or curriculum you'd like to move using the checkboxes to the left of each row, then click the "Edit" pencil icon above this list: mceclip2.png
  • Select the Move dropdown menu on the window that appears, then select the destination folder
  • Click Apply to submit your changes

To move presentations, courses, and curriculums as an administrator:

  • Open your Corporate Admin Tools by selecting your user profile on the top-right and click Administration
  • On the Content card, select Manage Content from the left-hand menu
  • Check off any content you'd like to move using the checkboxes to the left of each row, then select the "Edit" pencil icon above this list
  • Select the Move dropdown menu on the window that appears, then select the destination folder
  • Click Apply to submit your changes

Note: You may move content to any folder where you have authoring permissions. Moving content removes it from the original folder and places it in the new folder - in other words, it does not make a copy of the content. The content retains all of its attributes (including presentation ID, course ID, etc.) so there is no need to redistribute the link or re-enroll any students.
