What fonts are supported in Brainshark?

When uploading your PowerPoint presentation into Brainshark, your presentation will be converted into a format that allows users to view the presentation in their web browser.

Brainshark supports all fonts in the Windows 8 Font List. For more details on which specific fonts are supported, click the link to view the Windows 8 Font List.

If Brainshark does not support a font you would like to use, as a quick workaround you can embed the font in your PowerPoint prior to upload.

To embed a font in PowerPoint you can follow the steps below.

  1. Launch the PowerPoint file.
  2. Select the File tab.
  3. Select Options from the drop down menu.
  4. A window will populate. Select the Save Tab.
  5.  Under the Preserve fidelity when sharing this presentation header select Embed fonts in the file.
  6. Press OK.
  7. Ensure to Save your PowerPoint changes after pressing the OK button.

Please note:

  • Unsupported fonts may become distorted after upload to Brainshark. The Brainshark system could automatically replace them with supported versions. This may change the size of the text or positioning.
  • Embedding fonts may impact or limit use of parts of the Brainshark product.
  • If embedding only the characters used in the presentation does not function successfully, we would recommend to try the other setting to embed All characters. (Image below)
